There is limited parking within the community of Lake Chaparral, and the resident's Board of Director's has requested that we have everyone participating in the event park along the cross streets and DO NOTPARK along the "main drag – Chaparral Drive" of the community leading into the lake. This will ease the congestion around the transition area, and make everyone's event much more enjoyable. We respectfully ask that you obey this rule, and hope it doesn't cause any inconvenience. We have reserved some handicapped parking within the parking lot of the lake should this be required, however this will only be allowed for thehandicapped.

COURSE AND EVENT DETAILS

THE SWIM   Map

Olympic  = 1.5km          |          Sprint Triathlon = 750m         |          Tri it = 300m

A 1 (Sprint) or 2 (Olympic) triangular lap (clockwise) swim course will be in the warm, and comfortable setting of Lake Chaparral. Due to the number of athletes competing we will be starting from the South end of the beach area. The swim caps (provided in race package) must be worn throughout the entire swim course to ensure safety of all athletes during this time. YOU MUST START IN THE HEAT DESIGNATED TO YOU ABOVE IN THE ITINERARY (YOU WILL BE DESQUALIFIED IF YOU START IN THE WRONG HEAT, and this is your responsibility to know which heat is which). The course will be patrolled by the Lake Chaparral motorized boat, as well as lifeguard volunteers in rowboats. Athletes are asked that if they are feeling any trouble or difficulty during the swim portion to raise their hand and a volunteer medical staff will be there to assist you within seconds.

A 1 or 2 lap triangular (counter-clockwise) swim course. The swim caps (provided in race package) must be worn throughout the entire swim course to ensure safety of all athletes during this time. The volunteers/lifeguards will line the GPS measured course. The course will be patrolled by the motorized boat, as well as canoes and kayaks.

Make the turnaround and return the way you came – up that nice hill!
Turn Right on Chaparral Blvd and follow straight until you get back to Chaparral Drive.
Left Turn to begin the next lap or to finish!

Please be mindful of local traffic as this is an open course. City police and volunteers will be at all major intersections. You are responsible for your own safety while out on the course so be cautious and be aware of your surroundings at all times. Remember to have fun on the course, and keep safety at the utmost priority.
