LOCATION & PARKING

To travel to the lake from Edmonton, drive east on the Sherwood Park Freeway and Wye Road (Secondary Road 630) until you are 3 km east of the hamlet of Sherwood Park; turn south onto Highway 21 and drive for 9.6 km, then turn east onto Secondary Road 629 and drive for 10.5 km until you reach the local road that provides access to the south side of the lake.

Parking
There is ample parking within the lake community. Please follow the directions of parking attendants upon arrival.

Friday, June 25th 5:00pm-8:00pm @ United Cycle (10323 78 Avenue NW)

Bike Check
The optional bike check will take place on race day by United Cycle staff.

Saturday, June 26th

7:00am – 8:30am Late package pickup, bike check, timing chip issued, Check In, and body marking
***ALL ATHLETES MUST CHECK IN PRIOR TO 8:30AM***
8:45am Pre-race briefing (FOR ALL ATHLETES) in transition
9:00am Race Start
11:00am Post-race festivities (pancake breakfast & awards)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Swim = 1.0km......COURSE MAP


A 2 lap (clockwise) swim course will be in the warm, and comfortable setting of Half Moon Lake. The swim caps (provided in race package) must be worn throughout the entire swim course to ensure safety of all athletes during this time. The course will be patrolled by boat, as well as lifeguard volunteers in rowboats. Athletes are asked that if they are feeling any trouble or difficulty during the swim portion to raise their hand and a volunteer medical staff will be there to assist you within seconds.

The Bike = 30km .....COURSE MAP

Exit transition Westbound on Twp Rd 520 for 2.5km. Turnaround at Range Road 221 and return. Cycle past the Halfmoon Lake entrance and turn back to finish at Range Road 212A. 2 laps to complete the 30km course.

Please be mindful of local traffic as this is an open course. Volunteers will be at all major intersections. You are responsible for your own safety while out on the course so be cautious and be aware of your surroundings at all times. Remember to have fun on the course, and keep safety at the utmost priority.
